An investigation in Us said that due to bad economic situation, more than half of the parents are still supporting their children, they provide housing, or living fund, and all kinds of economic aids.

Economic assistance
The online survey was conducted by National Financial Education Foundation, which is non-profit organization commissioned by the Forbes website. Survey targets are 700 adults and 400 parents with adult children. The adults surveyed aged between 18 to 39 years of age, not in school.

The results show that the current economic situation make young people don't want to live alone at home, some people have no choice but to become "homing child ", leave their parents after work, and later moved back.

Most of the Adults surveyed are in the doldrums, saying that the economic pressures they face is higher than previous generations. Nearly one-third of parents said the economic situation of theirs is better than their children. Baker, chief executive of the National Financial Education Foundation, told Reuters: "the overall feeling of economic pressure is great on this generation. "
Parents do not want to see children in trouble, and lend a helping hand to them to help solve practical problems. The parents surveyed, about 60% said they are providing financial assistance to the children who have left school, about half are providing accommodation, and the other half are funding cost of living.

"homing child " may create other problems for parents.
The parents surveyed, 30% said that since the children moved back home and they had to give up personal space; more than a quarter of them take on more debt; 7% delayed retirement.
However, the children moving back home also has certain advantages. Survey results show that adult children live with their parents, 42% can help cooking, cleaning, most people assume part of the daily necessities, water, electricity, rent, or loan repayment costs.

Delay of "adulthood"
Baker concluded: "Parents (and children) continue the economic implications which is more than we expected."
This is similar to a survey conducted by a Columbia University National Center for poor children last year. The researchers found that the economic downturn, hard job hunting and other reasons, 52.8% of people aged 18 to 24 in the United States are relying on their parents, this proportion was 47.3% in 1970.

Survey, one in seven young people can not have economic independence and financial independence. At the same time, more people delayed marriage and a family time.
The Center researchers White said, a few decades ago, "adult" treat leaving  their parents home, getting married and raising children as a significant feature, but now, it includes completion of their studies, living alone, and with a full-time job. As it gets more and more difficult to do this, so more and more young Americans delayed their adulthood "compared to 30 years ago, children living in the parental home for longer time.
